Consume the pre-approved statements
Devour mindless insanity
Close your eyes for eternity

Preoccupied minds control our mortal lives
Mythical destiny, genuine deceiving

Preach empowerment, teach imprisonment
Be yourself within the provided lines
Yearn curiosity, learn conformity
Be free and emulate

Tired and poor, huddled masses
Teeming shore, follow the beacon-hand
Emulate, idolize glorious, vacant eyes

Dumbing down is evident in the slow decay of substantive content
Lowest common denominator media controls the hysteria

Unable to distinguish between what feels good and what is true
We'll slide, obliviously, back into superstition and darkness

Dispose the wretched refuse in our teeming plains
